Candidasa is located in the East part of Bali in the Region of Karangasem; many regard Candidasa as its jewel in the crown. This well established small village and coastal resort is around one hour and twenty minutes from the airport via the new convenient by-pass. Candidasa is nestled in a bay of sand and clear blue waters which offer breathtaking views across the sea to three small islands, and to the rear a view of green palm covered hills.

The small town is known for being a more relaxed, authentic area compared to South Bali, where the community of Balinese villagers provide a welcome and friendliness typical of the culture for which Bali is so famous. It has also gained fame for its many fine bars, restaurants, small hotels and villas which line along the main road through the town.
